[R-SIG-Mac] R.app GUI crashes on startup -- moved Rhistory, no Rdata, no crash menu

It is system-hidden for Finder users by default since it is a "dot  
file" named '.RData'.  You either need to do the removal from the  
Terminal or you need to show hidden files. There is material in this  
list's archive for removing hidden files.
