If you have a machine with more than 4GB of RAM, go with 64-bit. If you don't, either will be probably equally fine for you so it doesn't matter but 32-bit is the more tested one so I'd go for that. The differences in speed are not that big, either.

As of speed, on the one hand 64-bit instruction set is faster as it can take advantage of new features, but on the other hand it uses twice as much memory for pointers which is slows it down.
