Hi.

I frequently encounter what-you-see-is-not-what-you-get anomalies when
navigating a text window opened with the R Mac Gui (Mac 10.5.8; R
2.7.2 or 2.10.1). Usually the problem occurs when deleting lines near
the end of a large file (fourth or more from end), if the file is
scrolled so that the end is visible. Certain text is represented
twice, and only reverts to WYSIWYG when the scroll bar is manipulated.

A related problem occurs for small files when the end of the file is
not visible. To reproduce ...
1. Launch the R for Mac GUI.
2. Click the icon for a new file.
3. Enter the numbers 1 through 12 on separate lines.
4. Resize the window to be as small as allowed. Note that line 12
does not show cannot be shown through scroll bar manipulation.
5. Select line 7 in its entirety and delete. Note that '6' is
partially displayed on line 6, '9' is partially displayed on line 8,
and '8' and '9' are fully displayed on lines 6.5 and 7.5. Image
attached.

Similarly, deleting line 47 from a window with 1:50 displayed on
separate lines (end of file in view) results in a blank line 26. Text
reappears on scrolling. Image attached (cursor shown on line 46, but
another cursor is blinking on line 48).

Regards,

Tim
