Contrary to Julien I don't see why this is not a reasonable question to 
ask, but it should probably have been asked on the general list r-help 
rather than on this list which is specific to the Mac implementation.

My answer would be that you cannot have a goto statement in a 
programming language unless the statements can be labelled. In R 
statements cannot be labelled so you cannot have a 'goto'.

Several program control structures are available and you can read about 
them in "An introduction to R" under "R help" in the "Help" menu.
