[R-SIG-Mac] CocoaTk and R tk menu issues

I notice that there is now a new Cocoa version of Mac Tk (http://github.com/das/tcltk/tree/clang-de-carbon 
), which I understand will be released with Tcl/Tk 8.6.

Is this likely to resolve the issues with tcltk within R, so that X11  
is no longer necessary?
