[R-SIG-Mac] broken lines with quartz device

Me culpa - it's a bug in Quartz code that uses bitmap rendering (i.e.  
on-screen and bitmap formats) which splits lines to segments for  
faster rendering and produces a gap between such segments. It should  
be fixed in tonight's nightlies.
