[R-SIG-Mac] rgl.open does not work

Dear Mac-R-users

I installed the rgl package via the R-GUI installation menu as a  
binary (version 0.79).
I use the R- 2.7.1 and i run it on a intel Mac (Leopard 10.5.4).

The command rgl.open() gives me the following error:

error in rgl.open() : Cannot create font, error code: 1

Any suggestion to solve my problem?
