[R-SIG-Mac] Odd first line

This is probably me being obtuse but having upgraded to R 2.5.1 - GUI  
1.20 (4535) (4535) and when I start up I get

2007-09-28 17:23:28.126 R[288] tossing reply message sequence 1 on  
thread 0x4438980  (this in red then as normal)

   Natural language support but running in an English locale
............  etc ............

The only other quirk seems to be an inability to close a save quartz  
dialogue box.  I am running OS 10.4.10 on an old Power PC G4.  If you  
have any suggestions I'd welcome them
