[R-SIG-Mac] Black text

I've noticed that R.app occasionally creates windows with black text  
rather than a color set by the user in Preferences.   For example,
data(package="MASS")
produces a new window with the background color chosen under  
Preferences > Console > Background.  However the the text color is  
always black.  A bit of a nuisance if one uses a black background.   
(Quick fix = 'Select All' -- the highlight color will provide  
contrast against the black making the text visible).
