[R-SIG-Mac] install packages snafu

I'm using OS X 4.6, R 2.4. I want to install the package Hmisc. When I 
select Get List for  CRAN binaries in the Package Installer I get this 
error message:

Error: subscript out of bounds
In addition: There were 50 or more warnings (use warnings() to see the 
first 50)

I append a sample of these warnings. I'm baffled, because I've used the 
Package Installer in the past with no problem.
