[R-SIG-Mac] Update all error

I just upgraded to R 2.3.0:

And subsequently tried to update all my installed packages using update all
from the R package installer, which resulted in the following:

In addition: Warning message:

gzip: stdout: Broken pipe


If I update just a single package there are no problems.

Any hints about the cause of this are welcome.
