[R-SIG-Mac] VERY TINY question: missing function to clear the console?

Dear all,

I'm using R 2.3.1 on Mac OSX 10.4.7 via R.app GUI.

For presentation purposes I would like to clear to whole console
window (like in a UNIX terminal: 'clear').

Is there such a function?

If not, I could image that is not too hard to write such a function. (?)

Many thanks in advance,

Hans

BTW I posted that question already in the R-help mailing list. The
answers were for Windows 'ctrl+l', for Mac running R in X11 'system
("clear")', but no answer for Mac running R via the nice GUI.
