Ken,

I don't know if this answers your question, but start Apple's X11;  
after that, launch R.app as you normally would. After R is up &  
running, load grasper, either through the package manager or by  
library(grasper). Then, *AT THE R Commandline*, type:

grasp.GUI()

That should do it.
