You don't have to uninstall anything - the image above just contains  
the R.app so all you have to do is to either use it right-away from  
the image (or anywhere else you copy it to) or drop it in / 
Applications and thus replace the CRAN version - it's all up to your  
taste. As of what changed since the release, see
