[R-SIG-Mac] g77: installation problem ....

Working with R 1.9.0 (on a ibook G3 with MACOS 10.2) I get the following
error while installing a package (made under R 1.9.1) with
R CMD INSTALL -l directory package
I installed version 3.4 of g77 and the MACOSX developer tools.

I would appreciate some help with this trouble.
