[R-SIG-Mac]a problem building R-1.7.0

On my G3 Mac running Mac OS 10.2.5.

I downloaded the sources for R-1.7.0, ran "configure" without problem, 
but then "make" runs into trouble.  I ran "fink update-all" 
successfully, and tried again.  Still no luck (see below).  Any 
suggestions?
