Jan,
I dowloaded the new R-devel for Mac,
I finally updating my readline and prc packages,
and R actually boots (almost...then crashes because
now I am having a problem with the _strptime
variable missing)

dyld: /Users/susan/R/R-devel/bin/R.bin Undefined symbols:
/Users/susan/R/R-devel/bin/R.bin undefined reference to _strptime expected
to be defined in /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib


: anyone know what I haven't
installed that I should have?
