[R-SIG-Mac]R and ATM

I've had the symptoms you describe but hadn't worked out what the 
problem was - I use ATM 4.6.1 on a G4 PowerMac with MacOS 9.1.  I 
gave up using R but I might get motivated to solve the problem now.
