We would require a minimum of 4 years of experience with R.

The position is in Mumbai, India and the employee needs to be based in
Mumbai, India.

Specifics :

- The job title will be ``Data Scientist”.

- As a data scientist one will be responsible for delivering analysis and
insights on the order management process of a leading global tech company.

- One will implement technical and statistical methodologies to achieve the
client’s business objectives, own the data ETL process and logic, and
deliver reusable analytical templates, specifications and documentation.

- One will oversee and validate analytical work products, visualizations,
dashboards, and contribute to generating insights from the analytical
outputs.


Operational Responsibilities :

- Overall ownership of order management & supply chain analytics work.

- Integrate data from multiple sources to provide business users with a
complete view of the customer and Supply Chain & Order Management processes.

- Conduct statistical analysis & forecasting of orders related to regions,
products, periods.

- Correlate order information with sales revenues, fulfilment performance
and customer loyalty. Provide insight on drivers that can help to improve
the key business outcomes.

- Measure how effectively the organization is managing orders and
inventories across multiple locations. Suggest optimizations and
improvements to the process.

- Help the client to maximize profitability by ensuring that enough
inventory is available to fill customer orders while keeping inventory
levels and costs as low as possible.

- Oversee the deployment of Supply Chain and Order Management data
warehouse.

- Work closely with onshore, offshore team to convert the data insights
into action.

- Adapt to changing client needs and deliver a high customer satisfaction.

- Support complex analysis which can at times be ad-hoc.

- Work independently on ad-hoc requirements from client, and the onshore
and offshore teams, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of the end product.

- Provide a business understanding to the junior members on the team.

- Validate work meeting client requirements and adhering to a rigorous
statistical standard.


People Management Responsibilities :

- One needs to be a good team player and lead, involve the team members for
a smooth day to day operation.

- Work with managers to allocate workload and assignments to the team.

- Guide and mentor Analyst Juniors in their path to become Analytics
Experts.


Technical Skills :

- Strong Analytical Skills and Process Orientation.

- Experience in statistical/predictive modelling techniques like regression
and multivariate analysis.

- Advanced knowledge of data modelling, forecasting and automation using R.

- Expert level capability in use of desktop software (focus on analytical
skills in Excel)

- Preferably knowledgeable about writing and validating SQL queries.

- Preferably knowledgeable of PowerBI or general BI tools.

- Experience in working with large, complex data sets and integrating data
across domains.

- Strong analytical and problem solving mindset.

- Ability to simplify complex tasks and drive efficiencies.


Aptitudes :

- Proactive and a team player.

- Established track record of delivering above and beyond client
expectations.

- Passionate about innovating and delivering new analytics approaches
Education Qualifications / Experience

- Preferably M.Sc (or higher) in Statistics/Mathematics or Econometrics or
Operations Research or Business Analytics or any applied Statistics field.

- Preferably experienced with supply chain or order management.

- An understanding of Customer Relationship Management.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
