RESEARCH ANALYST

YouGov is currently recruiting a Research Analyst to work in our Palo Alto office within our Operations department. The successful candidate will work with the Analytics team, which provides project directors  with the operational services they require to offer quality consultancy on a wide variety of topics.

The successful candidate will be provided with the relevant training and support needed to carry out the role.

Responsibilities will include the implementation of house-built software for statistical analysis, including statistical graphics and Web-based delivery.

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:

  -- Strong R programming skills

  -- Programming with Python, SQL, C/C++, etc.

  -- Expert with Linux/Unix systems

  -- Commitment and attention to detail and accuracy

  -- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational  skills

  -- Ability to learn new software and techniques

  -- Knowledge of applied statistics is very useful

  -- Familiarity with some or all of discrete choice models, panel data, measurement error, missing data, hierarchical Bayes, survey sampling, factor analysis, structural equation models, experimental design, and data mining very useful
