Research Associate In Statistical Software
Grade 7: £27,428.00 to £35,788.00
Start date: 1st May 2012
Limit of Tenure: 30thth April 2013
The successful applicant will work on developing and implementing
statistical methodology to analyze social network data. This individual
will implement and document statistical algorithms in the form of packages
for the R statistical software platform, to help analyze data on
respondent-driven sampling datasets
(http://www.respondentdrivensampling.org) as well as on dynamic network
data generated e.g. by radio frequency identification tagging technology.
You must have a University degree and relevant experience in statistics and
programming, in particular in R and C/C++. An interest in public health
aspects of infectious disease is preferred. The candidate should have good
communication skills, and will be expected to publish manuscripts on
software packages to journals such as Journal of Statistical Software and
The R Journal.
