[R-sig-hpc] Any way to query the setDefaultCluster?

To clarify: if I "forget" to store a cluster object:
myfunction <- function()
{
library("parallel")
cl <- makeCluster(2,type="PSOCK")
setDefaultCluster(cl)
return(cl)
}
myfunction()
Is there any way to stop this running cluster short of quitting out of R?
