[R-sig-hpc] looking for an Rmpi example for a quad core desktop

Hi,

The following link shows a very basic example running exactly 4 slave processes, one for each MCMC chain. There's an unnecessary large number of iterations just so that you can catch it with top (or qstat on batch systems).

Subject: [R-sig-hpc] looking for an Rmpi example for a quad core desktop

Hi everyone!

Could anyone recommend a good example in Rmpi (or maybe snow) to use on a quad core desktop, please?

I would like to be able to run it and use the "top" function in another window to demonstrate how all of the cores are running.

Thanks,
Erin
