[R-sig-Geo] Issues with spatial package "sits" on CRAN

This looks like a result of the R CMD Check hard that I think is a
newer-ish check from CRAN. I’ve encountered this before. I encountered it
from using a function in an example that used a suggested package. Since
the package is suggested it’s not available in the hard check. Only
imported packages are available in the hard check.

That may or may not be the case here. But might be worth exploring.
