[R-sig-Geo] sf 0.5-0 binary for macOS SIerra?

Is there a simple features 0.5-0 binary for macOS Sierra (10.12)? I am
having trouble installing it from source. CRAN shows
OS X El Capitan binaries:r-release: sf_0.4-3.tgz
OS X Mavericks binaries:r-oldrel: sf_0.5-0.tgz

Can I use the Mavericks binary?
