[R-sig-Geo] question about unique in lon/lat

Just figured it out:

 unique(cbind(bigz$lon,bigz$lat))

Nothing like posting to the list to help you solve a problem.

My question is:  is there a way to get the "unique" values from lon/lat for each city, please?
