[R-sig-Geo] function gbm.perspec() in package dismo

Hello

Can anyone explain use of the 'smooth' parameter in the function dismo::gbm.perspec()  ?

It sounds like just what I need.  The help says:

smooth             controls smoothing of the predicted surface

and the default value is "none"

But what values can be used, other than none?
