Package "stem" claims to do exactly the kind of things you require:

http://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/Stem/

I still prefer to use gstat see e.g.
http://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/gstat/vignettes/st.pdf

There are apparently some new discoveries in the Cressie's new book
[http://books.google.com/books?id=-kOC6D0DiNYC] about how to fit
space-time prediction models, but I would also advise you to look at
[http://books.google.com/books?id=YqpZKTp-Wh0C] or some recent papers
from Edzer and colleagues
[http://stml.uni-muenster.de/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4&Itemid=16&lang=en].
