[R-sig-Geo] Error message after updating spatstat

Hi,
This is probably not the place to ask this, but I recently updated my version of spatstat, and now have the following problem.

I downloaded the latest release of {spatstat}, version 1.24-1. All seems fine. However now, when I do  >help() to look up a certain function in the spatstat library, I get an error message - which only happens when looking up a spatstat function:

Error in fetch(key) : internal error -3 in R_decompress1


I am running R 2.13.1 on a Mac. My session info below. 
Can anyone help me with what I should do here?
