[R-sig-Geo] points, raster

  Hi,

Can anybody help me a little on how to transfer values from a data frame 
(coord.x, coord.y, value) to
a raster file. I have a raster initialized to 0 values and I want to 
substitute zeros for the specific values
at coord.x and coord.y
