It's not hard to do, and gives the maintainer time to do more interesting 
things. You are subscribed from your current email address, so please just 
do what is expected. The only reason for contacting the maintainer (never 
the whole list) is if you have totally forgotten your subscribed email 
address (and in any case your subscription would then be cancelled after 
crossing a bounce threshold if your account was stopped).
