[R-sig-Geo] How to get the code of function .spFindCG in package sp?

The PBSMapping package has reasonably stratightforward polygon area 
In fact, I just assembled a tutorial on this topic on my Web site:


As an aside: here at NCEAS we are active R users and I am working to 
post a series of geospatial data processing
tutorials for our residents. Stay tuned for more as soon as I can 
produce them....
