[R-SIG-Finance] Bloomberg login through R

Hi!

in my workstation I do not need to be logged into Bloomberg in order to access data via Rbloomberg.
And I do not need to supply UserID and PW.

I have a question about gathering data from Bloomberg using Rbloomberg package.

 

If the bloomberg terminal is logged off, is it possible to login to Bloomberg through R?

 

e.g. something like:

 

library(RBloomberg)

conn <- blpConnect(username=ABCDE, password=123456)
