[R-sig-eco] Having issue trying to get plot to have plain-white background

I find the following code really helpful to further play with theme_bw()

myplot + theme_bw() + theme(panel.border = element_blank(),
panel.grid.major = element_blank(),
panel.grid.minor = element_blank(), axis.line = element_line(colour =
"black"))
