Dear all,

I am using ANOSIM to test differences in groups of microbial
communities, analysed with T-RFLP. I would like to receive some
indication on the correct interpretation of the output, especially the
graphical one.

- Firs of all, what is the meaning of the y-scale in the boxplot? Does
it represent dissimilarity values?
- Consequently, is it correct to interpret the width and position of the
boxes as a comparison of the variability of samples in different groups?
(i.e. a group of samples that exhibit lower values and a narrower box
has lower variability than a group with higher values and broader box)

Hopefully I was clear enough
Thank for your time,

Francesco
