[R-sig-eco] specpool() & dependence within data

hi there,

i try to estimate a species pool across plots under two experimental
conditions (control / treatment) using specpool(..,index=c("boot","jack1").

now this all works well, but i have concern about the se's beeing
underestimated because plots (n=44) were not independent for actually each
of 2 to 4 plots were grouped within a random factor (site).

i'd very much appreciate any comments on problems with independence using
specpool() in general and on how i may circumvent estimation problems
arising from dependence.

a possible solution that comes to my mind is to pool sites - but than my
dataset reduces to n = 12, which may not suffice for the estimations.

thanks in advance,
kay

p.s.: is the jack2 implemented in the latest release, or will it be
implemented in a future version?
