Dave,

Already submitted the subscription request to Gmane. I'll take care of
Nabble shortly.

Cheers,
Jeff

Kudos to Jeff for getting this going. I'm really looking forward to
reading posts and contributing whenever possible. I especially like
the idea of a list where the newbies can post questions without risk
of being flamed. The learning curve can be steep, especially for
poorly documented packages, and it helps to get simple,
straightforward help on what may seem like obvious issues to others.

I would like to suggest that we sign the list up for archiving with
Gmane (http://www.gmane.org/) or Nabble (http://www.nabble.com/).
Makes browsing the posts much easier in my opinion. I like both
archives, but I think Gmane updates a little faster these days and is
simpler. We could archive both places and let people choose whichever
they like. [I'm assuming here that the number of posts will grow to be
unwieldy as individual emails or digests.]

Dave Hewitt
