Dear Kwesi Apenteng,

I checked the original FME example from the paper until page 16 without
any problems. I agree that the error messages are rather cryptic, but it
seems that there may be something wrong with the model specification.

The reason can be either an unrealistic combination of parameters,
equations and initial values etc. or just a programming error in the
model.
