[R-sig-dyn-mod] parameter fitting using fitOdeModel versus FME

Hi,

short answer. Function modFit in FME was developed taking some ideas 
from fitOdeModel but we had no time yet to back-port the new ideas.

Some advantages of modFit:

- more flexible data structure for handling missing values,
- more fitting algorithms,
- better "mathematics", e.g. output of correlation structure,
- more documentation.

And: availability of other functions in package FME that can be used to 
get an idea of the identifiability of a certain problem.
