[R-sig-Debian] getting started with r2u

Hi,
I am continuing here from a discussion on r-help. Dirk has advised me to turn to this group.

I have not succeeded in installing r2u with the add_cranapt_noble.sh script. I do not want to complicate the picture by detailing all my missteps. Instead, I will just start by describing my present status.

When I start Rstudio, an error message comes up immediately in the console:

Error in loadNamespace(x) : there is no package called ‘bspm’

(I should explain that at one stage, I had copies of the bspm package in two different directories. I then deleted them and thought I would begin afresh with the add_cranapt_noble.sh script).

I decided to run the add_cranapt_noble.sh script again. I see the following now:
