| This message reminded me that I never got the point of why the adaptation of
| the build dependency is necessary or beneficial for these uploads of CRAN
| packages to unstable. Shouldn't they build on older R versions as well, as
| demonstrated by the CRAN checks?
Somewhat wrong list. You want to talk to the debian-r folks who wrote
this. See debian-r using lists.debian.org which should be open to join.
