| This report is 6 months old. The 'devtools' package has since then
| migrated away from the 'RCurl' dependency and now uses the new 'curl'
| package. So at least for devtools this is no longer relevant.
But as you know, old Ubuntu releases do not get updated retroactively. We
are in a better situation going forward, but for folks running the old
releases _vanilla_ problems persist.
