[R-sig-Debian] parallel computing

Hi,

I'm taking my first forays into the world of parallel computing since
I'm having to deal with some RAM eating computations, and would like to
take advantage of my 2 computers with AMD64 quad cores.  I read HPC task
view and got some hints (installed openmpi-bin and r-cran-rmpi packages
on my sid system).  However, I'm at a bit of a loss as what to
read/study to learn how to use all this.  Any pointers would be
appreciated.
