[R-sig-Debian] Rattle - libglade not found

Did you get rattle running eventually?

The libglade issue is one that has been a gotcha for a while. The
r-cran-rattle package (for Debian, but works fine on Ubuntu 9.10 also)
fixes this dependency problem.

I have a clean Ubuntu 9.10 install on which I then simply installed
r-cran-rattle from the cran2deb archive, and all went smoothly:

deb http://debian.cran.r-project.org/cran2deb/debian-amd64 testing/

The other 30 packages that rattle uses are not yet automatically
installed, but that is being looked at by the Debian R crew (thanks
Dirk and Charles).
