[R-sig-Debian] make problem on open suse

Hi all!

I know that this is a Debian sig, but I thought it would be a place to start.

I just installed Open Suse 11.1 on my laptop and was compiling R 2.9.0.

The ./configure worked fine, but I get the error for make:  command not found.

Have any of you run into this, please?
