[R-sig-DB] [R] prepared query with RODBC / Rmysql

I am hoping to find an answer to this old thread from March 2006 but do not
find one.

Can you perpare  select queries with placeholders in RODBC and then execute
tehm providing values for the placeholders?

Any examples out there?
