[R-pkg-devel] what to do if package takes over 10min to build?

Hi Dan,

There are several ways to check the CRAN submission queue, I usually use
{cransays}, https://r-hub.github.io/cransays/index.html, which doesn't
report {oce} in the queue.

I would recommend submitting again, simplifying or optimizing a bit more
the package for CRAN: even if previous allowances were made it is better
for the reviewers and maintainers if packages comply with CRAN's policies.

Last, note that "CRAN submission will be closed from Aug 5, 2026 to Aug 19,
2026 (CRAN team vacation and maintenance work)".

Cheers,

Lluís
