<p><tt>Just started with exploring R. Nice ! (for many years using Splus).</tt><tt></tt>
<p><tt>I tried to install and activate the package xgobi.</tt>
<br><tt>- first download of xgobi.zip</tt>
<br><tt>- then the R-command to install:</tt>
<br><tt> install.packages('N:\\d024\\xgobi.zip',CRAN=NULL)</tt>
<br><tt>- finally the command to attach the library:</tt>
<br><tt> library(xgobi)</tt><tt></tt>
<p><tt>Up to now, everything seemed to work. Also the help. No warnings
that the installation was not appropriate.</tt><tt></tt>
<p><tt>However when running the example of the help-file nothing seems
to happen.</tt><tt></tt>
<p><tt>After</tt>
<br><tt> data(laser)</tt>
<br><tt> xgobi(laser)</tt><tt></tt>
<p><tt>I get no reaction on the screen, only following message:</tt><tt></tt>
<p><tt>D:/soft/rw1041/library/xgobi/scripts/xgobi.bat -vtitle 'laser' -std
mmx C:/TEMP/xgobi-laser29358</tt><tt></tt>
<p><tt>Probably as a novice I forgot something to do. Has anybody a suggestion
?</tt><tt></tt>
