[R] Is there a canonical way to pronounce CRAN?

Hello,

A while ago every time I typed "cran" on the Google search bar the first 
suggestion was "cranberries". But after hitting the spacebar it would 
become
"cran r".

Now with "cran" only it's "Cranberry" (capitalized) and after the spacebar
"cran r" followed by "cran packages", with a total of 5/10 CRAN related 
hits.

(Duckduckgo.com gives something else.)

And there's also the Meriam-Webster [1].
