  link "identity" not available for binomial family; available links are ‘logit’, ‘probit’, ‘cloglog’, ‘cauchit’, ‘log’

This is a bit misleading since identity is a legitimate link function
and works perfectly *when* *quoted*.

Short enough? :-)
